Anticipation for Pharmintech is building up: important international guests and a rich program of events
Delegations and opinion leaders from India, China, Russia, the Mediterranean Basin and Latin America meet in Bologna from June 12th to 14th
The eve of Pharmintech is coming up! The reference event for the pharmaceutical, personal care and nutraceutical industry will take place at BolognaFiere from June 12th to 14th. Both the exhibiting arena, including 220 exhibitors and the events agenda are now finalized.
The pre-registration service on www.pharmintech.it will be active for visitors starting from May; the last details for the participation in the event by prestigious international observers and market players are currently being planned. Pharmitech has unique characteristics in Europe: it presents the state-of-the-art of technology and services for the processing and packaging of pharmaceutical, personal care and nutraceutical products, facilities, plants, logistics, services, packaging materials and containers and ancillary equipment.
According to a research by Prometeia, Italy possesses integrated packaging know-how (technology and materials) like no other on the international scene; it combines effective production with effective packaging process. Particularly, pharmaceutical multinationals have found their Italian production plants to be more successful compared to other productions sites in Western Europe, thanks to the cooperation with the local packaging expertise. Pharmintech best represents these characteristics also because of its location in the Bologna area, called "packaging valley" for the high concentration of companies working in this industry.
These features have great international appeal: journalists and opinion leaders coming from France, Germany, UK, India, Russia and Spain have already announced their presence, besides institutional delegations of market players from Eastern Europe, the Mediterranean area, Asia and Latin America, for a total of 100 qualified participants. Their participation was planned by Pharmintech's organizer Ipack-Ima spa with the cooperation of ICE (Italian Trade Commission) and Ucima (Italian Association of Automatic Packing and Packaging Machinery Manufacturers), according to the trade agreement involving the Ministry of International Trade. Pharmintech has already been successfully presented in India - which will be represented at the event by an official delegation - during Pharma World Expo, which took place last February in Mumbai. China too will have its own delegation at Pharmintech, as well as CPPA - China Pharmaceutical Packaging Association.
The events agenda includes the international convention promoted by ISPE (International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering) together with PDA Italy Chapter scheduled for the opening day, June 12th. It will feature the presence of pharmaceutical engineering experts of worldwide renown.
The afternoon will feature the presentation of a manual titled "Presentation of guidelines for the application of GMP in the packaging industry - Pharma-specific". The event is promoted by Istituto Italiano Imballaggio (Italian packaging Institute), which supports yet another relevant trade event on June 13th: "Materials for pharmaceutical packaging: a comparison between Italy and China". On the same day there are two more events on schedule: the Ucima general assembly and the meeting "Meet the protagonists: Malta Enterprise", which will present the opportunities offered by Malta for the pharmaceutical industry, one of the island's most successful, and is promoted by the Maltese governmental agency for industrial development, which will have its own booth.
Pharmintech 2007 is lead by Farmindustria President Sergio Dompé, one of the major players in the Italian pharmaceutical market; it is promoted by Ucima and has the support of the most important trade institutions, professional industrial pharmaceutical associations.
