Worldwide pharmaceutical experts meet at Pharmintech 2007 for ISPE meeting
The meeting, promoted by the international association of pharmaceutical professionals, is scheduled during the opening day of the exhibition held in Bologna from June 12th to 14th.
A great international meeting concerning "Research, development and innovation in technology for pharmaceutical processing", organized by the prestigious ISPE (International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering) will mark the opening day of Pharmintech, the reference exhibition for the pharmaceutical, personal care and nutraceutical industry held in Bologna from June 12th to 14th 2007. ISPE, the greatest worldwide association of pharmaceutical professionals, has included the exhibition in the official event agenda in Italy, and will bring some of the most prestigious names of the international pharmaceutical industry to Pharmintech 2007.
The speaker program, developed in co-operation with PDA Italy Chapter and almost completed, already includes pharmaceutical industry experts of international renown. More specifically, some of the speaker will be Gert Moelgaard (Novo Nordisk, Denmark), Theodore Iliopoulos (Polpharma, Poland), PG Shrotriya (Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, India), Walter Schiess (Schott AG, Switzerland) Zena Kaufman (Abbott, USA) Paul Merrick (AstraZeneca, United Kingdom), Roberto Guerrieri (Bologna University).
ISPE's mission is to spread pharmaceutical culture through meetings, events and congresses concerning the most important matters and problems of the pharmaceutical industry. ISPE Italy Affiliate is among Pharmintech's promoters; it was founded in 1992, includes about 600 associates and is represented by a board which includes some of the top names in the pharmaceutical industry and in the service companies connected to it.
Pharmintech's profile as an international, specialized, all-comprehensive and highly technological exhibition has recently been presented in two meetings with international press held within two important events: Packexpo in Chicago and Chinapharm in Beijing. The program developed by the organizer, Ipack-Ima spa, has been greatly appreciated and raised high interest in the public. The event in Bologna will display the best offer of technology for the pharmaceutical, personal care and nutraceutical industry, raw materials, infrastructures, plants, logistics, packaging materials, containers and services.
Pharmintech, led by Farmindustria (one of the promoters of the exhibition) president Sergio Dompé, can count on the support of the most qualified trade associations besides ISPE - Italy Affiliate: ADF (Pharmaceutical Distributors' Association), AFI (Industrial Pharmaceutical Professionals' Association), AFTI (Ticino Pharmaceutical Association), ANIPLA (Italian Automation Association), ASIS (Health Industry Studies Association), PDA - Italy Chapter (Parenteral Drug Association).
The 2007 edition is the second one for Pharmintech and has an even stronger international character, also thanks to the wide-range communication plan which includes presentations during the most important international exhibitions and specific strategies aimed at the various visitor categories in European and Mediterranean Basin countries. The organizational effort has proven fruitful (the exhibitors' list and all information about the exhibition are available in five languages on www.pharmintech.it): seven months to the opening, 30% of exhibitors come from countries outside of Italy.
